Solomon Islands

Hi, my name is Ian. Its good to know that someone out there is ready to assist everybody in this world from the destruction that the change in the climate would very much have on the lives of people, especially those who are living in the very unfortunate parts or situations of nature.

Well I'm a Solomon Islander. I have just assisted some out of school boys who have very good music skills to set up an environmental group. The group is called EARTH-LANE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP. The group is going to be registered under CHARITABLE status.

There is no doubt whatsoever that sea level rise, less yields in garden crops, continuous bad weather and so on are already being felt by the communities of the Central Islands Province. This is already evident in the number of disasters which the Province and the rest of Solomon Islands had had in the past three years. This year for instance, more than 500 people on one of the Islands, Savo, lost gardens due to heavy rains which caused landslides that buried gardens and destroyed water lines to communities.
