Climate change is becoming more of a threat than the HIV/AIDS pandemic?
As we continue to talk climate change, it is becoming more clear that there is an urgent need for more effective and positive drastic actions to protect our environment and our common humanity.
On Wednesday the 19th of August 2009, a heavy poor down of rain in the Sierra Leonean Capital Freetown destroyed houses and killed people and swept away their properties.
The rain was so heavy that roads were blocked and vehicles and human had no access but sought nearby haven for refuge.
However, is important to note that the event was so serious that it affected the wall of the Libyan Embassy located in a place in Freetown called Wilberforce. The wall of the Libyan Embassy fell on people that were killed immediately and some seriously injured while the surrounding houses were destroyed.
Climate change is becoming more of a threat than the HIV/AIDS pandemic? I stand to be corrected and would love to receive feedback from this story.
