One has to be responsible for what one consumes
Greetings from Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea! I am an indigenous person and I own some 100,000 hectares of forest including mangrove and river systems. I see that many people from the West (sorry this is not discriminatory remark) want investment in return for money are all bent in the wrong direction. I am issuing, as a land lord, no harvesting of natural resources such as cutting mangrove forest, commercial fishing, crabbing, and harvesting oysters from mangrove roots. All I want to say is that my grandchildren and their children will have all the natural RESOURCES on planned basis. We say "Rigo;o magani venina", which means that "we need to use (consume) according to a year". It calls for wise use of land and what one can harvest responsibly so that we last a year. One has to be responsible for what one consumes...consumerism is sin. Best wishes. Mali.
