Who will Pay for the Climate Migrants
Peoples in south west coastal region of Bangladesh. Peoples are moving from here. The south west coastal region worst effected by climate change. Every year peoples have to move from their living place due to river erosion caused by sea level rise. Peoples already lost their agriculture due to salinity increase. Peoples have to move 4/5 KM for collect drinking water due to salinity intrusion. Peoples are migrating from hear to other parts in the country even in the neighboring country.
Peoples have their indigenous knowledge to cope with climate change, but need a lot of money for that. Though the Bangladeshi peoples are not responsible for climate change and most of the peoples are very poor, who will pay for their loss.
